Installation Server Roles

Install Hyper-V
via the command:ServerManagerCmd-install hyper-v
or via the Server Manager interface

Server Manager :

Right-click Roles, puis "Add roles"

Check "Hyper-V"

continue the installation by clicking "next"

Select the network card set to the public IP

Start the installation by clicking on "Install"

Follow the progress of the installation.

Once the role is installed, restart the server. (multiple reboots may be necessary)

Having assigned a mac to a virtual ip FailOver


Go to the Server Manager:
Administrative Tools => Server Manager:

In Role => HyperV:
Right click on the name of your server, then New and virtual machines:

Specify the name you want for your VM:

Then set the size of the RAM you need:

Now specify the network card to use:

Whether you want a new or existing virtual hard disk:

Then specify that it will load the ISO to install your distribution:

Then confirm the creation of VM:

Now edit the Prametres of VM:

Set the virtual MAC address associated with your IP:

Now that all configuration is done, you can start your VM

For the IP configuration of your VM just follow the guide BridgeClient

Hyper-V network and NAT

Install the Network Policy and Access Role Service
via command:ServerManagerCmd-install NPAS
or via the Server Manager interface.

Server Manager:

Right-click Roles, and then "Add roles"

Check "Network Policy and Access Service"

Continue the installation by clicking "next"

box, "Routing and Remote Access Service", "Remote Access Service" and "Routing"

Start the installation by clicking "Install"

Follow the progress of the installation.

Once the role is installed, restart the server.

Open Hyper-V Manager
Start -> "Admins Tools" -> "Hyper-V manager"

Right click on the Host server, then "Virtual Network Manager"
"New Virtual Network" -> Internal -> clisk "Add"

Enter a name, for example Lan001

Once the virtual network created, change the IP settings of the card Lan001
ip :
mask :
gateway :
dns 1 :

In the interface "Server Manager", select the Network Policy and Access Role Service

click droit sur "Routing and remote System".

Option 2 - NAT

select the network adapter for the public IP.

select the network adapter Virtual Lan001

enable basic name

In the Server Manager

right click on the public interface IP

Select the 3rd tab, Add service
name : kms
Protocol : TCP
Incoming Port : 1688
Private address :
Outgoing : 1688

3 installation and activation of a virtual machine

It can be downloaded via the Microsoft site for Windows VHD image 2008/32-64/R2 for use in Hyper-V

E.g. Windows 2008 R2 enterprise:

In "Hyper-v Manager"
Create a new Virtual Machine

Define the name and the memory allocated

Network Configuration: select Lan001 (internal virtual network, created above)

Disk configuration: Option 2 - Use an Existing Virtual Hard Disk
Select the VHD that you downloaded above.
complete the creation.

Start the virtual machine and change the IP settings
IP :
mask :
gateway : (Internal server IP Host)

Reset the KMS Parameters:
(In a DOS command promp)

uninstall the current key:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs –upk

effacer le serveur KMS de reference actuel:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs –ckms

ajouter une clef KMS:
cscript c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs –ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
