Transfering Files : Dreamweaver Configuration

Find the e-mail sent to you when you registered/signed up with OVH

All the instructions that you need are there.

We will follow the model below for this guide's examples:



FTP:

Ftp Server : ftp.mydomain.com or 60gp.ovh.net (replace 60gp with the offer type)

Login : mydomain

password : 123456

Steps to configure the rest

Launch Dreamweaver and the file management of the site.







Select "Define the sites".







The "local infos" category permits you to define the different parameters related to the directory where the html pages appear on your hard drive.

At the "Local Root Document" line, enter your directory by clicking on the "yellow folder" icon.









The "distant info" category permits the defining of parameters that connect the client ftp to the server of your site.

A the "Access" line, choose "FTP"







The image below shows the configuration page. If you do not want your password to be saved on the machine, deselect the checkbox next to "Save".







Click on "OK"

In the left window you will see the contents of your hard drive.







Click on :





In the right window, you will see the webspace for the server of your website (distant server).

Connection Problem

Verify your password and login.
